About MedEvent®, Inc.

MedEvent® prides itself in providing high quality professional medical staffing for sporting events and other special events - regardless of their location. Our company was founded by President/CEO, H. Keith Owsley, MS, LAT, EMT-P, who is a career firefighter/paramedic as well as a nationally certified, and state licensed athletic trainer working in Southeastern Wisconsin. In addition to his fire service and athletic training backgrounds, he also works as a strength and conditioning coach for varsity sports at a local high school.

Operating since 2003, MedEvent®, Inc. differs from most “standby services” in two aspects of our services. It is our philosophy that problems don’t always come to you, you have to be where the problem may occur. This is why we go beyond your basic medial tent staffing; hence our company name, MedEvent® Mobile Medical Team. At all of our events, we position medical staffing at strategic locations all along the route or course of your event. This provides for a faster response to problems, which leads to injured athletes receiving medical treatment sooner. Additionally, through the utilization of certified athletic trainers, we bring “Sports Medicine to your Sporting Event”. We believe that the participants of your event should be treated as the athletes that they are. Our athletic trainers are able to provide services such as injury evaluation, taping, and wrapping as well as treatment on location, whether it is in the medical tent, at an aid station, or on the course itself. This on the spot level of care allows athletes who are injured often continue to compete in the event they are participating in. You will not receive this level of care with EMS alone.

However, we can provide the EMS component as well through our “team” approach to medical staffing. The medical teams used by MedEvent®, Inc. consist of a variety of health care professionals. Depending on the needs of each event, the medical teams consist of certified athletic trainers, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, nurses, and physicians, as well as support staff all working together to provide a complete team approach.
